Yogurt in general is cultured via a bacteria strain known as Lactobacillus Bulgaricus. Various sub-strains have evolved throughout the world resulting in the different varieties of yogurt we have today but ultimately, they are all from the Lactobacillus Bulgaricus strain. I doubt a probiotic capsule contains enough of that particular strain to make a true yogurt. I can't imagine adding a probiotic capsule to milk would be any better than taking the probiotic capsule with a glass of milk.
