I have had my progestrone levels checked because I think my last miscarriage was from low progestrone. My level was low when we checked it. It was 13 were they say between 11-45 is good for the 1st Trimester. I feel pregnancy symptoms though so I think that's good. Exhausted, and morning sickness!

Yes - mine have been checked with every hcg quant.

At 16 DPO, my progesterone level was 108.
:

I'm on 100 mg Endometrin suppositories 2x/day for a luteal phase defect, which could be why mine are so inflated.

Mine were checked yesterday. It was 11, and I was told they wanted closer to 20 and not below 10. I'm starting suppositories - no fun, but worth it for sure. I'm with a fertility specialist still and she said that probably most regular obs wouldn't consider my level too low, but they're ultra careful. I'm ok with that.

Mine was 51 at 17 dpo and 55 at 19 dpo.
But I think mine's on the higher side all the time (even when not pregnant).

Me too. I'm on 100 mg prometrium in AM, 200 mg in PM. Mine was 13 on 20 DPO. My doctors like to see it above 16.

I think spotting is one. When I stopped doing the suppositories with my pregnancy with DD I was told I could stop them as long as I didn't start spotting... Sorry, I don't have time to look up anything more specific for you. I think that low progesterone levels can be tied to early miscarriages. So, even when my levels don't seem super low, I'm happy to do the miserable suppositories to help my baby stay put.

I just got my checked and it was 12.7 but my doctor said it was fine because it can change from day to day but now I'm a little worried it is too low...

All I can find when Googling is symptoms of low Progesterone before you're pregnant... Like with those who have PCOS. My LPs were 11-12 days and my periods were very regular.
Is it safe to use natural progesterone cream if you don't need it?

crazy to see that there are so many different "good" levels and so many different ways to treat it.

mine was 10.6 and I was put on 200mg of prometrium. I also have had a previous loss (blighted ovum) which by the time it was discovered I had a 5 prog, though who knows if it was the cause or the result.

In a midwife interview I mentioned that I had been on suppositories with DD but wasn't (at least not yet) with this pregnancy. She volunteered that I could use the cream instead if I wanted. Then she said, but either do it or don't as it can mess things up if you start and stop with it. This made sense to me. When I had confirmation that my levels were low, but the pharmacy said they didn't have my prescription for suppositories yet, I went ahead and did the cream so I was doing something.

Flower of Bliss... Thank you, I'm seriously wondering if I should start... I know it would mean using it every day, possibly for the entire pregnancy.

I guess I'm worried becaus of my previous miscarriage. This pregnancy feel very different, though, so, I don't know if I want to mess with it...

Sigh...

are you guys getting your progsterone monitored?

My OB kinda left me hanging. I was just told to start the meds. No mention of making an appt for my first exam or even another blood draw. Kinda makes me feel like they just expect I will m/c again.

But then I also realize that there's not much else to do (besides upping my prog, as I'm only on 200mg a day). I don't even know how far along I am.

At 15DPO my progesterone was 51 which evidently is pretty darned high for 1st trimester. I've never had these levels monitored before in pregnancy, so I don't know what's normal for me. The RE's nurse said they're happy with anything over 20. I have a luteal phase defect so I am now supplementing with 17-hydroxy progesterone shots weekly per doctor's orders.

My OB didn't check my progesterone. He said the value varies so from day to day and the interpretation as to what is "ok" seems to vary from Dr. to Dr, so he felt the test wouldn't really tell us anything useful. He does know the benefits of supplements to prevent early m/c (I've had 2), so be put me on the suppositories "just to be safe". He has a "can't hurt, might help" approach. I'm ok with that since I tend to keep pretty informed on what's overkill and what isn't, and he lets me make the decisions without pressure.

I had mine tested at 15DPO and started supplements that night (200mg prometrium by mouth), and then had it tested again a week later. I have no idea what the #s were. The nurse just told me my beta values.

Ok so I was tested 25 dpo and my level progesterone level was 12. She tested me 3 days later and it was only 9. She had me on the cream 100 a day. When it dropped she changed to suppositories 100 at night. Ok so I totally feel like the progesterone suppository just leaks out. I find when I use the bathroom throughout the night I am just wiping it away. So I still had the cream so I have been using that also. I am glad to read many women here have been put on 200 a day. So really that is what I am taking now. I am having my levels checked tomorrow. It makes me nervous. I am 7 weeks. I miscarried in February at 7 weeks so I am just crossing my fingers that this one is going to stick!
