I have a few of the "colors" ones (not classic) and I like them a lot. i used to have a classic way back when I first started out and I liked it but sold it bec it was too big for my dd. I guess my addled brain didn't think she'd grow.

overall they are solid and durable, if not a little thick and plasticy but not in a bad way in my opinion.

I use them. When we have a new baby (long time from now) I will try others, but we we were on a budget when we bought for my 2 yr old. We didn't start diapering him until he was almost 2 so I bought proraps. I like them pretty well, they do the job just fine. I wish they had fold back tabs and cross over tabs but other than that they have held up fine and we use them daily with PFs. I have 6, 2 size mediums and 4 size large. They are a bit dingy looking from use, not pretty white anymore but I don't really care that much.

The ones that I am looking at getting are the colors not the classic.

They seem like they are cheap and a good first buy to see if I like CDing and just to start, I am thinking of getting 5 Prorap covers for our daughter for now, and getting the prefolds.

Does this seem like a good idea?

I have one too and like it a lot. The first day my dd wore it she had a massive poopy diaper and there were no leaks. Her prefold leaked onto the cover but the cover didn't leak at all. The proraps are well made and even though they are pretty basic they work really well. I'll sacrifice super cute for super functional.

I like the classic white Proraps in every size except nb. The nb are just too tiny for my babies and didn't fit them right. I didn't care for the Proraps colors at all. They're a much more stiff and plasticky material, imo. I'm throwing that out there, because I remember you mentioning in your other post that you didn't want plasticky... The classic Proraps are soft and not plasticky, imo.

I love proraps classics. I have 5 mediums that are being used on the third child. They have lots of life left in them. I have definitely got my money's worth! I wash on hot and dry on hot too. They have lasted longer than any other pul cover I have had.

i can't stand proraps; they felt plastic-y to me as well as they wicked pretty easily for my boy, and he is not a super-wetter. also, it drove me crazy that they did not have laundry fold back tabs.
FWIW, i highly recommed the BSWW - they have worked great for us!
