OK, I want to get some prostaglandins, but my husband isn't very, ummm, well, it takes a day or two of recovery to get the second dose or else it is a real chore if you know what I mean.

So is it really true that taking it orally is more effective than topically applying it to the cervix? 'Cause I don't want to waste this batch.

Actually, at this point the oral way would be easier. I feel like I'm ready to pop, literally. I never knew what that meant before because I don't remember feeling like this with my last. But I feel like this baby is going to ooze out of my stomach just by all the thinning of the muscles and skin that has been going on.

My first was born only 4 days past her due date. I had regular sex on my due date and then did the other thing like two days after. I also had my membranes swept a couple of times. I wonder how this one will go.

are you taking evening primrose?? we're having sex and then i'm taking epo orally too (have been for a few weeks).

i've performed oral sex...but i'm not a spitter or a swallower...i'm a "you better warn me before something happens so we can do something else to help you out at the end or else i'm NOT going to be happy". my gag reflex is just WAY too strong to do that. if i knew it would send me into active labor RIGHT NOW, i still couldn't do it. i'm such a prude!

Our attempt at sex was useless. Apparently I've forgotten how to give a decent BJ since it just wasn't happening. Apparently he was thinking, "Oh, is this taking too long, it's taking too long." Then he just lost it. I can sympathize since this is exactly why I rarely have orgasms in his presence. I figure it's just taking too long, then I start to analyze everything I'm feeling and feel panicky and I just stop it. We tried to have sex the "normal" way, but it didn't work either because in favoring my big belly, I apparently got the insertion angle wrong and that made him uncomfortable and he lost it again. Geez, I don't know how in the heck we ever got pregnant!

I think I'll order some of those sex lesson videos after this baby is born. It's never too old to teach and old dog new tricks, right?

I don't mind it at all. I actually dig that it goes faster if I'm not really in the mood. I'm only 36 weeks now but in a few weeks we'll be going at it constantly

DH will be happy and maybe it will speed things along - I am very orgasmic so it's all good

DH has a quick recovery time so twice a day isn't a problem for us.
I have also heard that it is more effective if taken orally - DD was born 1 day before her due date.

Somewhere there is a man reading this thread and scheming on how to make women think that seamen taken orally will reduce cellulite.

When I get close to 40 weeks I am so going to give this a go. Thanks for the good info!
