DS, DP and I took the Amtrak train to Chicago last week. On the way, the woman who took our tickets was joking around with some college-age kids. They were asking silly questions and she made a comment that went something like, "if you do that, I'll have to slap you around". DS (not quite 4) said very loudly, "Mommy, hands are NOT for hitting! We don't slap people in OUR family! It's not ok to SLAP people. Hands are for NICE touches!".
I have to admit, I was very proud of him! And it makes me feel like GD IS working for us, even if it sometimes seems like such an uphill climb.
