Please help, I think my nipples might fall off!!! Wow. My 3month old daughter has begun pulling on my nipple and pushing her hands (like a kitten) on my breast while nursing. She grabs the nipple and pulls her head back as far as possible - sometimes pulling off. It truly feels like the entire nipple is going to come off in her mouth and I don't know how to stop her. I tried changing positions, holding her close and tighter, but all that just seems to aggitate her even more. Anyone experienced this? Is it just a phase? How do I get her to stop? Any info!!

2 months ago, when my DD was 3 months, I came here posting the exact same thread!

So, yep, gotta say it's normal, it happens, and she'll stop doing it in a couple days. I think it stimulates an increase in your supply or something. It des NOT mean she isn't getting enough now, it means she's prepping you for more in the near future as she goes through a growth spurt soon.

As long as she's having normal wet/dirty diapers and isn't spitting up a lot more than usual, don't worry. It hurts, but it'll be over soon. You can't make her stop. Trust me, I tried everything!

I was in your shoes about a month ago- DS 'grew' out of it. I know that doesn't make it any better now, but it will get better Did you try Bfing while laying down- I found that that helped (especially to change positions after he made my nipples so sore).
