Does anyone have any links/advice on how to make a puppet theater for the kids. So far my kiddos have been going behind the couch and having their puppets peak over. We're going to be getting rid of the couch soon (age!) and I want to give them a puppet theater as a gift this year. I have heard of some easy portable ones, and some people have made doorway puppet theaters as well.

I just took a small tention rod and sew'd a hem on one cut end of some fabric.
I put it in the doorway to see how long I wanted it, marked it, took it down and hemmed the end.
My DS loves to play with it and also pretend it's a magic door.
I think I bought 1 1/2 yards but you prob won't need that much.

When I was a kid we got a new fridge, the box it came in was great. We just cut a door in the back and a window in the front and whalla pupet theater/playhouse. Decorating it ourselves was as much fun as the shows we put on. A big cardboard box has to be one of the best playthings ever made.
