Whoa, I just found this push bike <a href="http://www.freddysays.com/baby_toys/skipper_scooter.php" target="_blank">http://www.freddysays.com/baby_toys/skipper_scooter.php</a>, but I have no idea how to find it in the US! My heart broke when I saw the price in pounds<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">: . Is anyone super savvy on this sort of thing?<br>
Also, I can't seem to find a thread on push bikes. I've seen them at Target and whatnot, do you have one? What do you think? We just bought a Vespa, so this would be so fun to have! DD loves making the motorcycle sign and doing the sound every time she sees one, it's so cute <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

Haha that is really cute!!<br>
The city I live in (in Europe) is a real biking town, more people bike to commute than drive and pretty much all of the kids start off with a push bike. I think they're great and the kids are soooooo cute on them <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> DS has one that MIL bought him but he's not old enough to use it yet.

Here's a recent thread on these types of bikes (I most often hear them called "balance bikes"):<br><br><a href="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=640280" target="_blank">http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=640280</a>

Here's another place that has it <a href="http://www.thelittlebikecompany.co.uk/details.php?wooden-bike=45&aid=&s=0&np=2&rtn=wooden-bikes" target="_blank">http://www.thelittlebikecompany.co.u...n=wooden-bikes</a><br>
It's also in the UK but maybe there shipping would be less than 69 pounds. They don't list a preset shipping price, so they will probably just charge the actual shipping.

ooh those bikes are super cute. I was coming on tonight for the very reason of looking for info on push/balance bikes. All of the kids, little kids in the neighborhood have "real bikes" already and I just think it's too dangerous at 3 to have a bike w/ training wheels.
