Put your BF'ing Advocacy Slogans here ....

I have a local Tshirt shop that will embroider anything I want on it for $7.00 and I am trying to think of ones I can get made up for Teagan. I do not plan on selling these or anything i just want them for our personal use. Anyway ... what are some of the slogans you have come up with that you would like to see on a shirt?

This whole 20/20 segment has made me think of a few ....

"Why would my mom want less than perfect for me? ... Im Breastfed!"

Also i thought if the TV ads would not put the percents about Diabetis and Luekemia maybe I could on a Tshirt for my child and myself to wear ... I dont have the stats right now though to quote it ....

or how about something like "Fire Bush and his administration I want my friends to be breastfed too!"

Anyway I know we have a BUNCH of clever gals here ... maybe you can come up with some to or have thought of them in the past ....

thanks ...

I made my DS one that says "Eat at Mom's"

And I've seen ones that say "Nice legs, but I'm a boob man myself..... 100% breastfed" that one always makes me
:

I would hesitate to put political slogans along with the BFing advocacy, because I think that BFing advocacy goes beyond that, and it would also make it easier for people to dismiss what you are trying to say about BFing. KWIM?

HTH, and let us know what you pick!

When I get a new car (soon!) I'm planning to make a bumper sticker that says

Silly grown-ups!
Boobs are for babies!

Remember those old Trix commercials?
I don't think I've seen it anywhere, but it did make my fil crack up when I told him.
You could have one made that says "Affordable Healthcare Begins With Breastfeeding" or something like that... I think Ive seen that slogan on a bumper sticker somewhere.

I love your idea here: "Why would my mom want less than perfect for me? ... Im Breastfed!"

The only stats I remember from last nights 20/20 show was increased risk of ear infections 60%.
the ones we own are:
for ds
Breastmilk: A G-d Given Food
and he has the 'nice legs but i'm a boobman myself' romper too
for dd, 4
Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful
I was breastfed
for dd, 14.5
Use em or Lose em
Breastfeed to Stop Breast Cancer
and for me
Jesus was a cloth diapered, breastfed baby

the bumperstickers i have on my van are:
Breastfeeding.com Give only the best
Breastfeeding - better for mom, baby and the planet
breastfeeding - wherever your baby is hungry. where every you are
Human Milk for little humans. Cows milk for little cows
and
Breasts are for making milk. Not for Men. Not for Money

don't know if any of that will give you some ideas. I'm not that creative on my very own. lol

The "Boobman" and "don't hate me cuz..." and "Use 'em or lose 'em....."

are my slogans from my home business of professionally embroidered rompers (see www.babyknowsbreast.com to see I actually have them). I am all for advocacy, beLIEVE me, and I am totally fine with using my slogans (I have about 8-all trademarked) but please don't use them for selling to others (you did say you weren't going to, just clarifying this).

Thanks!!

Great car decals I have:

God made breasts for feeding our babies

There are 2 natural ways to feed a baby, on the right side and on the left side

Just say NO to drugs, formula and killing our babies

I have a few others, I need to go find them and write them down!

I like the leftside/rightside slogan!

{Stick drawing of a mom} milk for {stick drawing of a baby}

I just made myself a t-shirt with 8 breastfeeding art images ironed on the front and one on a sleeve. I made one for DD too with 3. I plan to do another with religious breastfeeding artworks from the Renaissance. Wordless advocacy, though I need to improve my iron-on technique--fuzzy images don't convey the message very well.

There are some beautiful Biblical references to breastfeeding that would be great on a shirt, I saw them all at www.gentlemothering.com all over that website. I am thinking of putting some on some tees also, just not embroidered, maybe fabric pens.

HEY, I forgot about this----------

I bought a dark red tee and used a CLOROX BLEACH PEN (supermarket purchase) and wrote the words "Toxic-Free Bottle-Free All Natural Baby" and it turned out SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!! In fact, my 9 month old is wearing it right now!! Just make sure to use the pen BEFORE washing the shirt. I tried it on a tee after it had been washed and the bleach bled all over the place and you couldn't read a word. Just let it sit for about 30 minutes and then wash very well, it's adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm sorry...i couldn't remember the web page and was going to come back and link to you.....

You have just inspired me. May I have your permission to put the following on a t-shirt and sell them?

"Silly man, breasts are for kids!"

I feel my version is close enough to your version that I need your permission.

The same goes for the two slogans that were mentioned that belong to me:

"Human Milk For Little Humans, Cow Milk For Little Cows"

and

"Breasts Are For Making Milk. Not For Men. Not For Money."
