DD and I have been suffering from frequent yeast infections over the past 16 months. I have not been able to get help from her ped, my OB, or our FP. I have treated us both with gentian violet in the past, with success, but she was a small baby then. I'm wondering, does any one have experience treating an older baby? Should I still swab the inside of her mouth and do my nipples?
Thanks,

I always just put it on my nipples then let ds nurse. Or, suck on a cotton swab that had been dipped in GV. Do you put Lansinoh all around her mouth, cheeks first??? I found that helped with staining
What was most helpful for me was to determine WHY the yeast kept being a problem. Getting to the root cause is important.

Have you ever checked out Mothering Magazine's thrush article from a few years ago (it's also online)---it is wonderful! Here is another protocol:

http://www.breastfeedingonline.com/yeast.shtml

Also, Dr. Newman's protocol can work wonders as well. Think it can be found at www.breastfeedingonline.com/3b.html or at bfrlc.com. Not sure which one has the complete protocol for thrush.....

Best wishes!
