We live in an apartment right now, but will be looking for a house or duplex to rent in Sept/Oct. What is some good resources to find rental places? I've been keeping an eye on craigslist and the Statesman, but are there any other online sources to find rental properties in Austin?

We want to be in southwest Austin. Your place looks really great, but just a bit out of our pricerange
. That back yard is awesome! Our lease isn't up until October anyway and I am sure you are looking to rent it sooner than that! Thanks anyway!

austinhomesearch.com is a great resource, too. there's a link on the left menu for "lease search." if you keep one eye on craigslist and the other on austinhomesearch, you're sure to find something. also, it never hurts to search the chronicle's online listings. they're not as easy to navigate, but they're there!

You might even try posting on craigslist yourself with exactly what you are looking for. That's how we found our current place.

I'm sure you have noticed that most of the current listings on craigslist are for now or September 1, but keep looking!

Good luck!

you can search realtor.com and select rental properties to get the rentals on the MLS - you could also call a realtor for help. Not sure if you pay anything for their service or not - we used one for finding a rental home but hubby's company provided her.
