Question about fleece liners

I'm planning to buy some fleece so I can make my own diaper liners. What I am wondering is, does it have to be micro fleece? Joann's has some anti pill fleece and I'm wondering if that would work?

I think it has to be microfleece, because other kinds of fleece will repel moisture.
