Hi there. I am a newbie and have a question. Do HH's run large or small. I want to order some for my daughter who is approximately 13lbs. Should I go with a small or medium? Thanks!

They run large. I have an almost 13 pounder and the smalls fit perfectly. The mediums I can put on her but they look like they will fall off. In fact, my 26 lb. DS still wears mediums comfortably. I say go with some smalls if you need to use them right now. Get mediums if they are something you want your baby to grow into and used for a long time down the road.
I also think they run large. My mediums were too big for my dd, so I gave them to my friend. She has a chuncky 22lb baby & they fit perfectly.
How is your dd built? Mine went into a medium HH just fine at about 13-14 lbs, but she's a chunky monkey! The rise was a bit high at first, but it fit great around her chunky thighs and belly. I understand from other moms here that skinny babies sometimes have a harder time getting a good fit.
Maybe you could email Linda with your babies measurements and ask her. She has great customer service!

I only have one (so far), but I think it really does depend on the build. I got an X-Large for DD (38ish lbs) who is 4.5, so much taller (42ish inches) than most cloth diapered babies. Fits great. Tried it on DS (27ish lbs) and it also fit great. Of course, he is only 32ish inches. I had heard they ran small, so I was concerned with getting one for DD, but it looks like we will be able to "share" x-larges. Good luck!

These three places have free shipping, and all accept returns of unused merchandise within 30 days. So, you could try out the small, and then if you had to, try out the medium and only pay shipping on the small if you didn't use it.

http://www.mamaessentials.com/happy_heinys_1.html
http://www.boobearscorner.com/
http://www.lilbunz.com/store/

I don't know if there are others with the same deal (there probably are) these just had a good selection in the size I was looking for (X-large). I went with Mama Essentials and it was really fast!
Jamie, the smalls DID USE to run small. Caden outgrew the old small at 13 lbs also. The new small really does fit to about 16 lbs, though. There have been some slight sizing changes in the bigger sizes, too, I think. Not sure what they are, but I think the Large used to be bigger than it is now, cuz dd used to fit in a Large perfectly, but I had to move her to an XL with the new sizing.
