None of it can be waxed, right? We're allergic to the corn in many food grade waxes and I've been operating under the assumption that organic produce is not waxed. It just occurred to me today that I might be wrong and I want to doublecheck. Thanks.

My understanding is also that they are not waxed, but I'm not 100% sure about that. For sure, if it *is* waxed, it should be labled as such. I think that's supposed to be the case for conventional produce as well, but many supermarkets take the veggies out of the labled boxes and don't make the information readily available. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">: I would ask at your market to be sure.

The book I just read "A Field Guide to Buying Organics" says that they CAN be waxed.
