Hello! It has been a long time since I posted here. For some history: I was TTC for >1 year, and on my second cycle after weaning my son I got a BFP!! (Sept 22). Unfortunately I began some weird spotting in October, and on Oct 29th miscarried at 9 1/2 weeks. I ended up getting a D&E on 10/31 because I was having some horrific cramping, there was only a tiny bit of placenta left.

Fast forward to Wed afternoon (3 weeks post D&E) I was having some sharp right side pain during bowel movements, and went to my doctor. She sent me to ER afraid it was appendicitis. It turns out that I have a large ovarian cyst on my right ovary. My left ovary had 3 normal follicles, so looks like I'm getting ready to ovulate. The ER doc said it was a very common type of cyst and most likely related to the hormone changes since the mc, he thinks it will go away on its own. He said it should not affect my cycle or my ability to conceive. However my temps are still crazy.

Does anyone have any input on this? I am nervous of course, but won't have any real answers until I see my OBGYN (I'll call and schedule first thing Monday morning). The good thing is that I got my blood work back and the HCG levels were 4. I was still getting +HPTs up until 2 1/2 weeks after mc.

Thanks for any help! I feel like I've been through the wringer over the last month. I don't want to have another surgery, and frankly 3 visits to the ER and 1 surgery in a 3 week period is ENOUGH!
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/12d160

I'm attaching my FF account, if anyone is interested!

Keep an eye on that pain. If it gets very bad, or you have any dizziness, chills, shoulder or leg pain, or shortness of breath, run don't walk to the ER. Even though it may appear to be a cyst, it may be ectopic. Be aware.

I had an OBGYN, the same one who did my 1st ectopic surgery, tell me after an extensive u/s that my abdominal pain was just caused by scar tissue being disturbed by my new pregnancy and to rest until my next appt with my regular OB. Luckily that appt. was that morning and my regular OB recognized the 2nd ectopic and did immediate surgery. If I had just listened to that guy, and ignored my pain just because the doc said it was nothing, and not had an appt that same morning, I may have had another life-endangering situation.

I truly hope it is just a cyst and your pain improves! GL!!!

I am having a similar situation right now. I weaned ds two months ago. Since then, I have been having whacky cycles (to be expected). Half way between cycles I have spotting and major pain on the right side. I have gone to my MW twice now, and the second time she did a US and found a lot of free fluid (she also had several blood panels done and they all came back normal) which means that I had a cyst that ruptured. She said since I have been bfing or pg for the past 3.5 years, my hormone levels are very off in my body. That is causing repetitve ovarian cysts. She said the cysts are very painful, but they do not hurt my chances of getting pg or having a healthy baby. We are ttc right now, too.

Thank you! They did discuss the possibility of ectopic pg, but they didn't see anything on the US or CT that suggested it, and my HCG levels were down to 4. My understanding is that with an ectopic the levels would stay high or go up?
I am keeping an eye on it. This morning I had a massive temp drop and spotting, so I think my first post mc AF is on her way Hopefully this cyst will go away with AF. That would be wonderful.
I am calling first thing in the am for an OBGYN appointment, they've been super supportive through the whole mc and I think they'll get me in right away.
