Hi all, I have this nagging question that I'm so curious about. While in labor, during pushing, I heard a nurse say to my doctor (while looking at the beginning of crowning) something like "Wow, see that enveloping"
And the doctor nodded and said "yeah" and they both were looking at it in awe and looked happy about it. I have no idea what this was about, but i'm pretty sure thats what i heard. any thoughts as to what this meant? Thanks!

Are you absolutely sure she didn't say "developing"?

I am not really sure what she said but I'm fairly certain it was something like "Look at that ......." and then whatever word she said. "Look at that developing" ??? Maybe. What would that mean? She said it like she was amazed by it, thats all I really know.

Were the membranes still intact? I have heard that term used refering to a baby being born with the amniotic sac still intact.
