How close together do/did your dc's teeth come through? My dd is 10 months old and got her first tooth about two weeks ago. It was a big surprise. There was no sign of teething or anything- it was just there one day. She was a bit fussy while it worked itself out of the gums the rest of the way, but then she was fine.

We are wondering how soon we should expect her to get another tooth and which one it will be. I'd like to be on the lookout for any discomfort she may have, since we didn't notice anything last time. I don't want her to be in pain if we can be prepared and offer cool teething rings at the right time, teething tablets, etc.

our son got his first tooth (bottom) at 6 months, second tooth (bottom) at 7 months, the next four (all top) at 8 months, next two (bottom) at 12.5 months, and all four of his molars at 13.5 months.

every child is different, so you might expect the next one soon or not so soon.

Pretty regularly... the "pairs" would come in within 2-3 weeks of each other, except the random one that would come in a month or two later than the other.... He got his bottom molars several months before his top molars... but the front teeth all came in pretty consistently...

take care

Thanks for your replies! So I guess there's just no way to tell for sure, huh? But we can reasonably guess that her other front bottom tooth will come in next?

I guess we'll just keep looking in her mouth. LOL :LOL

I didn't remember this until I was looking through DS's records recently, (he's now 4 yo) but he got one of his front bottom teeth, and then the next one was the opposite one on the top.

But I believe that normally, the two bottom ones come in first. That's the way my DD's teeth are coming in.

Thanks mahogny! So even the placement of the next little chomper is a mystery.

This whole baby thing is a fascinating journey.
