Yes I know I should ask the teacher but its due in 24 hours and well, I sorta haven't done it yet... its tonights project after the kids are in bed, of course knowing I have to get it done tonight the kids will probably refuse to actually go to bed until midnight...

The term paper is due 03/05/2008, no exceptions will be made. The paper is to be submitted in the Digital Dropbox by 10 p.m. on the due date listed above.

The paper is to be 6 pages double spaced in 12 point font. The margins are to be 1 inch around the page. There is to be a title page used and a reference page. The topic is to be from one of the ones listed in the syllabus. It is your responsibility to seek outside sources, such as other psychology books, journal articles, etc. and use the information to elaborate on the chosen topic. Make sure to references all works cited.

So ummm, do the title page and ref page count as two of the 6 pages you think? I'm guessing no but I have to ask

NO they wouldn't count, just pages of actual essay. 6 pages for a term paper is pretty short.

Really? I've never had one that was supposed to be this long, I think the longest has been 5 pages and that teacher was a major UAV, no one passed his class including the straight A students.

Anyway, thanks! I'm roughing out the outline right now. At least I got to pick a subject I already know pretty well, actually just did a presentation on it in another class so I will be able to draw from that to get it done in time. Got 27 hours to do it, can I do it? Yes I can! lol!

ps: can you believe this teacher has not given a single lecture yet? There's nothing that even tells you what chapter were on each week. I have to guess by looking at the weeks question.

Yeah, I haven't had a term paper less than 10 pages. I had 5 or 6 page essays every week or so. I imagine it varies wildly depending on your discipline/

You totally can do it! Six pages - if I'd assigned that, I'd want a 3/4 page intro and a 1/2-1 page conclusion, so the body of the paper would be something like four-five pages. You can write your introduction last, and by the time you've finished, it should be pretty easy. (Just thinking out loud, here, not meaning to tell you what to do.)

As an aside - no syllabus? No lectures? what week is this?? Be sure to be very honest and specific when you fill out the evaluation for this course.

I'll take all the advise I can get, I usually get A's on papers but I always feel so lost writing them.

The teacher gave a syllabus but it just lists a short course description, the book we need, break down of where out grade comes from (midterm, 2 -1 pg papers, final exam and class participation (blackboard) There's the above descriptions for the mid term paper with whats basically the TOC from the book to pick a topic from. Make up policy ( pretty much no make ups) and the usual plagiarism notice.

There is no lecture of any kind and I have looked for ANYTHING that might resemble a lecture. There's no kind of schedule or even anything telling us what chapter were on this week. I've take a lot of online classes and I had a teacher who did the same last semester, drove me nuts and even after repeated requests for something she didn't do it.

I've never had to give an eval for a teacher online, one of these days I wish we did so I could say something without risking my grade.
