Some friends of mine are due in late January with their second child (first for this mom though, they're a two mom family). They want the child born in MA so they can both be on the birth certificate (the only state that will allow this for non residents, since they are legally married in MA).

My main question is how long they have to report the birth? And what do they do, just walk into a hospital and say they just had a baby?

I logged in tonight to ask the same question, for the same couple, I am pretty certain. lol. Small world!

I have been looking for days trying to find the answer to this and I just can't get any good information on the web! I am bumping this up and hoping someone knows!
