What type of dipes do you take to the daycare/sitters? And how many of each.<br><br>
We take fb, HH and bumkins AIO and they seem to work well, but I seem to be doing laundry every day.<br><br>
I have 3 fb, 1 HH and 3 bumkins and it is not quite enough to let me do laundry everyother day.<br><br>
Just curious about what other mamas use.<br><br>
Thanks,<br><br>

I suspect that all our daycare will mess with will be prestuffed pocket dipes. My 2 year old is in underwear, and they'll put a cover on her for naptimes, but no stuffing, so I do *a lot* of laundry.<br><br>
Their policy is that I can choose to use cloth, but they won't clean them in any way- no dipping, no shaking the poo off, etc., just seal them up in a plastic bag for me to deal with at home.<br><br>
I'm wondering how tolerable that will be- messing with crusted poop every day in an expensive apartment building washroom (so no presoaking).....

I send pre-stuffed Happy Heinys every morning with a bummis wet bag. It is easiest for them because the velcro closure is just like using a Pampers, they don't have to think about snaps or different pieces or anything. After they change her, they just stuff the dirty diapers in the bag for me. They do not shake or rinse either, but it is not a huge deal to clean them off when we get home. DD is only there until lunch, so if they were sitting poopy all day in the bag that may be a different story.<br><br>
Oh - I send 2 each day. She is there for about 4 hours. I wash every 2-3 days. I have a dozen Happy Heinys - well worth the investment IMO. (you can get a 6 pack for $81 with free shipping at <a href="http://www.mamaessentials.com" target="_blank">www.mamaessentials.com</a>)

Each day I make sure the diaper bag has the following:<br><br>
four or five prefolds in a newspaper fold<br>
three covers/wraps<br>
two or three washcloths to use as wipes<br>
a "wet" bag<br>
peri bottle half full of water<br>
an extra snappi<br>
diaper cream<br><br>
I wash about every three days. For our solid poos (which were brief) I'd simply take out the pooey ones and flip the poo in the loo before tossing in the washer.<br><br>
She usually uses three diapers while he's there (he naps and isn't there an awfully long time, nor is he a super soaker).<br><br>
This is the second provider I've had while using cloth. The first one helped me make up my mind about using cloth and said she'd use whatever worked best for me. With this second provider, I sold her on the idea of cloth simply by telling her "No pins, no dunking."<br><br>
Yesterday she offered to hang my wet diapers on the line while I'm at work.

We use mostly HH and a couple of LL. I think she likes the HH the best, but she's always so agreeable, she hasn't said that. I have also taken some of the Gerber E-Z liners for her to put in the dipes, then she just throws them out if they are poopy. Actually, when I've forgotten the liners, she has sent home dipes that are very well cleaned out (no poop)!! I've never even asked her to clean out the poop!

Sorry, I forgot to say that in the beginning we were doing laundry every day and I hated it!! Now we have enough to go for 2 days without washing. I agree, get the HH 6 pack for $81 at mamaessentials!! I have 10 HH and 3 LL and 1 angelwrap that we use.

We use all CPFs and wraps, so that's what daycare gets too. They're used to that though - there are a few other parents who CD, and it's all wraps and prefolds. I've never asked them to snappi or anything though; I know that wouldn't work because dd goes to a center, so lots of different people change her diaper.<br><br>
I bring a bunch of CPFs each day, and make sure there are at least two extra wraps. I have Happy Tushies zippered wet bag that they just throw everything into, which works great. The poopies do sit in there for a while, but oh well, what can you do?

We use a combination of HHs, Angel Wraps, Bumkins AIOs, and a few other misc. AIOs. My daycare provider was totally fine with it, but she doesn't dunk. We bring her a soft-sided zippered container that's original purpose was to be a small picnic cooler. Works great for diaper because it's waterproof and only cost $5.99.<br><br>
I have about 12 diapers that I rotate. I leave 3-4 at her house, bring home the dirties, bring over the clean ones when gets low, etc.

I send 4 fitted diapers, 2 covers and the wet bag for a full 8 hour day (she's in a fresh diaper when dropped off). There's a variety of diapers, but all have hemp for absorbency and fleece to stay dry. We have a few spare sposies from before our conversion in case we run out, but that hasn't happened yet. On a few occasions when she's had a rash going, I'll send one or two extra diapers so she can be changed more often.<br><br>
Now, my dd is 2 doesn't need to be changed as often as a younger baby, especially now that she'll occasionally use the potty. So, probably about half the time, only 3 of the 4 are used at daycare. I think we used to send 5 or 6 when we first started with cloth (she was about 15 months old).<br><br>
My dcp is comfortable with cloth, so that helps. She did prefolds and pins with her now grown kids and has done diaper service prefolds on kids she cared for in the past, so fitteds are no problem for her. I've told her she doesn't need to do anything with poopies, but she usually at least shakes off what she can and sometimes even rinses.<br><br>
When we come home, I transfer the dirty diapers to our dry pail. If there are any poopies she didn't have time to deal with, we just rinse them off before throwing them in the pail (I use a shampoo bottle filled with water to rinse off in the toilet). I wash every 2-3 days and haven't had much of a problem with stains--I think the fleece helps.

I usually send ds with 6 stuffed diapers, usually FB's or HH's or a mixture of both. She uses disposable wipes there ( I use cloth wipes at home) and send a wterproof bag for the dirtys. She shakes off what she can into the toilet.

my twins are in preschool from 8-2 & one is still in diapers. I send him with 3 kushies but she changes him every hour and a half and she's been running out - he holds his pee for a long time so often in the afternoon when I empty out the wet bag there's at least one BONE DRY diaper. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/rolleyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="rolleyes">: Better than leaving him in a wet diaper too long though so I shouldn't complain.... but I have a feeling she'd leave it till the proscribed 90 minute mark.... sigh. but I digress<br>
anyway I need to send more diapers... I use the kushies ultra since they seem easy. if the poop's easy to shake off she does otherwise she rolls it up and puts it in the bag. that was basically what I told her to do since I didn't want them to complain.<br>
they were pushing him to potty train by putting him on the potty every time they changed his diaper (and they wanted me to do that at home too) but he was starting to cry all the time and say "no go to school" all the time and hate diaper changes and so I asked them to stop and they did and he is happier now.
