So did anyone just feel "off" in the days leading up to labor & delivery?

In addition to Monday's mucous plug sighting, I've just been feeling funky for the past few days. I'm exhausted, but can't stop with the nesting. Everyone and everything is just irritating the crap out of me. I've been weepy at totally random moments. And I've just been feeling bleh - not nauseous per se, but just generally icky.

I hit the wall Friday where all of a sudden I was just done. I'm tired of being pregnant and I want my body back thank you. I miss being able to reach things and I want to roll over in bed without huge amounts of effort.

I'm 37 weeks on Tuesday, so being pre-term is no longer an issue.

I'm right there with ya. I could have written your post.

I've also been having (tmi?) regular bm that are not the norm...

My house is a mess... But it must be cleaned!!!! I am about to start on it. I just got Ds down for a nap. Talk about cranky!

My mood swings have been quite entertaining. I've been having more discharge.

And rolling over in bed 9 months pregnant should be an Olympic Sport for sure!

I got my first leg cramp this morning, and no one was there to help me work it out, so I had to fight through the pain and bend my toes up all on my own...ouch.

I got my bag packed and it is sitting next to the door. I'm also about to put the car seat in the van. I packed my bag and washed the car seat last night. Again.. something that had to be done right then and could not wait!

I think the only "fun" thing I have on my list of "to do" today is put the butterfly stickers up on the walls of the Girl's room.

I'm still have reg contractions it seems. and the are getting stronger and more uncomfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if my body was getting ready to start real labor. I still have another week before it is "safe". But watch... this will be the one pregnancy that goes over my due date... It has been quite a bit different than the last two, so why not continue with that and go over not early

first time around i never really felt that way, but DD came at 38.5 weeks. second time around, i felt that way big time for the last two weeks i was pregnant (DS was four days "late"). i was a real joy to be around, lemme tell ya.

what really helped me was drinking a small glass of wine in the evenings, treating myself to a haircut, a massage, a pedicure, a date with DH, and regular baths with no kids around and candles and relaxing music. it was still really hard to get through. but boy did i embrace those contractions when they finally started up in earnest. i literally shouted bring 'em on! i was soooooo ready to have that baby

I was nesting for at least the last month I was pregnant. Everything was so "done" and I had *nothing* left to do that I would literally wait for the cat to wake up from her naps on my bed so that I could use the sticky roller on the indentation she left in my blanket and roll up the six hairs she'd leave behind. If your house isn't sparkling, or if you're not doing really weird things to clean (one girl I knew was up boiling her silverware the night she went into labor), then it's hard to use that as a sign of impending labor.

But I did lose it and go completely hormonal on people in the days leading up to labor. I stormed out of the house to take a "walk" about three days before I was in labor, I think I flipped out on my dh for talking to a neighbor down the street for a half hour without telling me where he was about 5 days before labor... I think mood is a better indicator of when you're going to go than most other signs but you have to take it all together, and of course, pray that you're not one of the poor mamas that goes through prodomal labor for a month, because then there's no way of telling.

I was actually caught completely off guard when I went into labor with DD. The night before, I was doing yardwork and still had enough energy afterwards to DTD with DH. So, when I woke up with contractions the next morning, I was SHOCKED.

Yeah, I definitely feel "off" the last few weeks. (sorry, I know you wanted to hear "days" not "weeks").

I consider myself emotionally fragile right now and try to remember that nothing anyone says is meant the way I take it. I sort of shut myself in emotionally (from the world outside my little family) and even though I still do the things I normally do, I'm just a little absent emotionally because otherwise I would be a bawling wreck.

I had a lot of energy on Saturday and got the rest of the baby clothes/blankets washed etc. There's just a few odds and ends to buy and do yet. Waiting for $$ on Wednesday and my birth pool is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. I really overdid it yesterday, not so much in nesting but was out of the house from about 8am to 9:30pm and today I'm exhausted.
