my dh and i are discussing homeschooling...right now we have agreed on "for the preschool years" but now are thinking about it longterm (yea!!). my question is this, my dh's only fond memory from school was the odyssey of the mind program he participated in. i believe it is called something else now....does anyone know what i am talking about?? and can you join a team if you are homeschooled???? tia

The homeschoolers in my area are very involved in OM. (We're not yet old enough at our house!)

OM is something I see frequently mentioned on local hs'ing groups websites (we're too young for it here, too). I was glad to see, personally, that Science Olympiad is open to homeschoolers.

I think you'll find that most organizations similar to those will be open to homeschool participation.
