Eliza has small thighs. Her Angel Wraps and Happy Heinys both gape at the back thigh a little (I love both dipes, don't get me wrong ). She is pretty skinny all together, I think.

I am considering some various fitted dipes to put under some cool new wool covers I have. I am in with right now (but petrified that DH is going to wash them! ).

ANYWAY.....

What fitteds do you like for babies with thin thighs?

Some that I was thinking of trying (I have 2 Country Cuttins on the way):
Cuddlebuns (is bikini or regular better for skinny thighs?)
Liz's Cloth
Ecobaby
Baby Greens

What do you think?

My babe is a peanut, too.

I would strongly recommend you wait for First Class Baby diapers to come out this month www.fluffymail.com

The fitteds we have - side-snapping - are by far the best fit we've ever gotten in a diaper!!! And, the covers fit perfectly over their diapers - as well as every other combination we have tried!

Perfect for skinny thighs! (Plus, they're two size diapers, so they fit for a long time )

Baby Greens is the only one I know won't fit your baby well in the thigh from your list. I don't know anything about the Ecobaby ones.
Also, I had trouble with the Liz Cloth size 1. The legs were either too tight or too loose because the snap settings are far apart. You might be able to get some custom made with closer snap settings, though. I found the tightest setting to only be needed for a premie.
Small Sandy's fit my boy well and were pretty trim, too, but the Large Sandy's are too bulky for my taste.

Well, it must really depend on their overall build. My ds is 2, with small thighs and teeny hips. I couldn't get a good fit with Lizcloth. Growing greens had exposed snaps on the inside which I don't like. Bikini cuddlebuns fit great but the rise is extremely high, and if you fold it down then the doubler doesn't snap in (I'm waiting on a custom one to see if it solves this problem for me). I do like Country Cuttins - he wears a medium. They are not terribly absorbant, but they do fit him very well and are nice and trim. Really the only other diaper that fits him are SOS, which I know isn't real helpful.

It's funny because I have found that side snap dipes are always too big in the leg for him. Side snap covers are fine though.

ocean, I have some Country cuttins with hemp fleece soakers inside and they are pretty absorbant. What are the soakers in yours made of? My side snapping country cuttins fit very differently than my front aplix ones, though. I love my turned/topstiched aplix ones. I asked for crossover tabs and they fit really nicely and are so easy for dh. They are "his" stash for when he changes. lol

I have had the best luck with Baby Greens. 16 mo DS has 18in waist and only 9.5" legs. tall and thin w/ a budda belly :LOL Haven't tried the others on your list but tried several others that didn't fit well.

Thanks guys! I just got a bikini and regular cuddlebuns off of e-bay, so I will give them a try. I am having the country cuttins made as pocket dipes, so I can slip in a JB for extra absorbency - maybe I will like those the best! I am going to wait on the others for a while, I think.
Thanks for all the input.
I've tride regular Cuddlebuns and they just fit her skinny thighs. I heard the bikini cut is for chubbier babies, but I don't know if that's true.

I use the Ecobaby Absorb-it-all (you do mean that one, right?) and Liz's Cloth diapers on Kayla and they fit fine. Based on the age of your baby, I'd go with LC size 2 (very, very adjustable). Kayla still fits in the Ecobaby Infant size and she's nearly 23 pounds.

Never tried baby greens.

Generally speaking with skinny thighed babies, you're better off with side snapping/velcro rather than front snapping/velcro.

Let us know how the bikini CB fits compared to the regular cut.

Thanks!

Wow, that is skinny in the thigh for a 16 mos. old! Caden is 9 mos. with 9 inch thighs, and they gape on his thighs. I think if he had another 1/2 inch on them that they wouldn't, but I think the OP's baby is closer in age to mine, so I figured they'd be too big.
