How many weeks were you when you had your second baby? I read a statistic that 7 out of 10 women (I think this is right) give birth after their due dates--I've heard that the second pregnancy can tend to be shorter than the first (of course, not always!) so I was wondering if this would apply to the second time around as well. Just for fun...

Of course, if she were to come now that would be fine, but you know. This whole pregnancy I've been saying that I want her to go past her due date--although, I don't know if I "want" her to now, but I'd be fine with it. I think a part of me is nervous about being a parent of two, although I am definitely excited as well...

My first was an induction, so it doesnt even count, lol, but she was 41 weeks. My second was naturally 41 weeks. This time my edd is January 20th so my money is on January 27th.
I must add that I am THE MOST impatient person on the planet. Have a hard time waiting until Christmas morning, birthday morning, Easter morning, etc...lol. I hated to last few weeks with both of them. More with the first than with the second. This time I am determined to enjoy the last few weeks to their fullest.

#1 was 15 days early
#2 was 20 days early - with incompetent cervix due to cancer/surgery
#3 was 1 day early

Since my first two were early I set myself up for a 38 week pregnancy with my third - big mistake! Those last 2 weeks seemed to go on forever. This time I am planning for 41 weeks and will be happy if he or she comes anytime between 37-40.

My first came one week early (water broke in the middle of the night) and my second was 5 days late! It was the longest 5 days of my life since i expected to go early again. I have no expectations this time, like the quote above, he/she will be born on his/her birthday!! I love it.

My first was 14 days the wheel's 40wks. My second was right on day one of 40wks. Both labors were about the same length: 5hours and 6hours, but were very different in how they progressed.

My first was born on her due date.
I couldn't vote, though, because for my second I did not have a due date. His due "month" was in May sometime..... he was born May 15.
