I have changed the eating habits for my family except for adding raw milk to our diet. I want to do so, but my husband is extremely skeptical about it. I am trying to get all of the ammunition I can to convince him. I found a ton of information at WAPF and am looking for a little bit more.

When you switched from pastuerized to raw milk, did you notice a difference in your health and how long did it take to notice the change?

I hope to make the switch soon. I've been lucky enough to have found 3 local farms that selll it. Thank you in advance!

Hey Trish,

We just switched this weekend so I do not have a lot of info yet. I have noticed no problems with switching and we just went cold turkey. The one positive already is I am not feeling bloated...at all. Before, as the day went on I would. So far nothing. Also, I have seasonal allergies : that cause my nose to drain and I am having no problems with mucous. (Sorry to be gross!) My kids both love it as does my DH. We are hooked and just upped our herdshare!!!

Have a great day!

We have been using raw milk for at least 1.5 years. I don't think there was any instantaneous change, except I didn't get heartburn in the middle of the night anymore. Some other positive affects that we've noticed over time, are that my children no longer get a nasty croupy sounding cough with each cold that they get, my husband doesn't get sick after eating fatty foods anymore, my son and I no longer get sinus infections. I also know lots of people that say it helps with allergies, asthma, and Asperger's. I drank some colostrum for a few days a couple of months ago and it helped stop the dripping down the back of my throat.

My husband was cool with it at first, but then he told his family and they started making him feel really scared to drink raw milk. So I check out this book from our local library "Milk of Human Kindness...Is Not Pasteurized by William Campbell Douglass", and we both read it, and now he feels very positive about drinking raw milk. We've been drinking it about 4 months. I had noticed about a year ago that our teeth have gotten sort of see-through in many areas and just generally look weak and unhealthy (though my dentist says there's nothing to worry about. I looked at my teeth last night, and after four months on the raw milk and Cod Liver Oil, they appear solid colored - not transparent on the bottom half. My husband's are still transparent looking in parts, but he has just started taking the CLO.

I would say that the biggest benefits of raw milk are increased immunity, and knowing that you're getting the most out of what you are consuming. Pasteurization ruins vitamins and enzymes, so then your body has a difficult time using what you are putting into it. Also, when using raw milk you are much closer to the source, and can make a more informed decision on whether you are filling up on steroids, hormones, etc.

My dh's ADHD symptoms and low libido were cured in just a few months after he started drinking about 3 cups of raw milk a day. Also, he didn't get a bit of hay fever last June, when normally he is MISERABLE.

Also. I can't point you to a source right now but you can find tons online, but, raw milk will actually kill off e.coli that has been introduced to it.
