I recently gave birth to our 6th child. My entire pregnancy, I swore up and down that I was done- I found myself not enjoying the process as much as I had with my first 5 (though that may be because I didn't have the time I used to have), I was sicker, the comments from other people really got to me, etc. But now that I have my little one in my arms, I can't help but think that having another one would be wonderful. My problem is that I have a hard time 'justifying' a 7th and beyond. I know to many people this might sound crazy- but going from our 5th to our 6th was no big deal. But having a 7th just seems like such a huge step. Our minivan only seats 8, and we really don't want to get one of those huge vans, so that creates one big problem. And we go on vacation every year. Rigth now with 8 people, we can stay in two connecting hotel rooms. But with a 7th, we'd have to get a third...and they are other things that come up, but of course I'm drawing a blank now. And I guess my biggest worry is that even after a 7th, or 8th, or 10th, LOL, I'd still want 'just one more', and I realistically know that we have to stop sometime (the quiverfull mindset is not for us, though I wish it was).

How do you handle these types of situations? Did a 7th child seem like a huge step to you as well? How did you 'justify' a 7th?
