Hello, mamas:

I have a question. I use separate detergent for dh as I use very little of it and it ends up being more economical and strong enough for him. I use Method. For ds and I, I use mostly Bi-O-Kleen. Occasionally I'll use Method on us too. Now I'm CD-ing my baby (due in August) and will probably use either Country Save or Planet.

Would Method cause too much build-up in my washing machine, and subsequently on the diapers, if I keep using it? I would hate to stop using my bottle and a quarter that I still have. And I like that it's environmentally friendly and it cleans well.

I have a manufacturer's washing machine cleaner and freshener to use to really clean out the washing machine before dd comes. I'm going to be doing that in a few weeks (I'm 33 weeks pregnant now).

What do you think?

I think if you don't use too much detergent on a regular basis(most people do, you really only need about half of what the bottle tells you to use, in most cases), and if you run a hot wash with nothing(or vinegar) in it every month or so, it shoul dbe fine. YOu could always change things up if you end up having problems.
