Do you think everyone, especially moms of preemies with babes in the nicu should be watermarking their pictures so no one can steal them?<br>
I think there are websites that will do it for free when you upload them, or your picture software can do it too.<br>
I dont want anyone elses baby pics to be stolen and misused.<br>
It is such a sad thing, but would be good for protection.<br>
My babe was a preemie too, but did not have a nicu stay. I still worry about people stealing her pics and using them for monetary gain.<br>
So sad.......

I am a very overprotective mama I've discovered, as well as, a conspiracy theorist. . . This is why I've never put my pictures of DSs on any type of webpage. I will only send via e-mail to family and really close friends. It is such a shame that anyone would claim someone else's bambino shots as their own <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

I think you should. I was burned by people copying things I posted (haven't had pictures stolen that I know of) so I've already started not posting pictures on public or even private boards. I've learned that you really can't trust online people.

I don't know. I haven't done it. I don't plan on doing it. I know there are sick people in this world. Watermarks can be taken out of pictures anywways with similiar programs. I guess if somebody wants a picture bad enough they'll get it. I can understand the want/need for it though.

I've watermarked pictures and they have been stolen and taken off.<br>
I don't plan on doing it, not to many pictures of ours floating around though.<br>
I agree with what was that, if they want it bad enough, they'll get them.

WOW...people will do anything wont they.<br>
I cant believe someone would go through that much trouble for a picture.<br>

I'm still debating what I should do if anything. I post pictures and updates on my livejournal for Dakota. People can use just about anything you put on the internet. I have my journal so that friends and family can check in on Dakota and that others who are going through similar experiences can be encouraged. Regardless of what I do if someone wanted to take my pictures, watermarked or not, they could.

I've started watermarking photos on this forum. I want to share, but I also want to make them work for the photo too.
