Questions about breast health and cancer
Hello Everyone!
I decided I needed to start researching breast health and breast cancer. My mother had premenopausal breast cancer, so health practitioners are always very cautious with me. I have had many mammograms, but I realize these have their limitations especially with dense breasts.
There used to be a doctor in my area who would also do ultrasounds on the breast- that was more helpful. But she stopped her practice for some reasons.
I also check myself monthly.
Where do you all go to get checked? I live in Auburn, CA near Sacramento and I would be interested in a more comprehensive breast health clinic. What options are there? I did read a while ago that MRI's (I think that was it) might be better for finding lumps.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
