Questions for moms who use a lot of wool

I'm trying to talk DH into having another kiddo next year. I'm thinking I would like to go completely natural with this baby (meaning, natural fibers like cotton, hemp, wool, etc).

ANYway, I just started CD'ing a month or two ago. I have a few wool things but I just find I don't use them because to have an 18mo running around in an expensive, gorgeous wool item is too much stress for me! :LOL

So, I have some questions for moms who use a lot of wool, which will help me with my next little one.

First of all - do you wear wool soakers, or just wear wool shorts?
Do you change them every time you change baby? If not, how often?
How do you keep the wool from getting ruined when they start moving around and getting into stuff? Do you just start to use stuff that's harder to ruin (like PUL or something)?
If you use a lot of wool, does that mean you don't use any onesies? What do you pair with the wool pants, just a t-shirt?

Thanks for humoring me!!

Zach has play wool and good wool.
No onesies, always use(d) t-shirts, even in cold weather. I use wool like clothing, so sometimes it needs to be aired out btwn dipes, sometimes I get the pee fast enough that the wool doesn't feel damp so I put the same soaker right back on over a fresh dipe. I just use coordinating colors of wool to match the shirts (and sometimes I don't :LOL ). I did about have a heart attack last night as he went bum scooting across the cement patio in his brand new bbb. Then I laughed at myself for how silly that was.
Then I changed the cover anyway.

Good Luck TTC!

I stick with cotton shorts and jeans :LOL but for DS I use both soakers and shorts as well as wraps
Do you change them every time you change baby? I usually do; I rotate 2 covers throughout the day so his shirt coordinates as the day goes on.
How do you keep the wool from getting ruined when they start moving around and getting into stuff? If it gets ruined it's not very good quality. My DS plays in the dirt and sand with his wool. It washes clean. Do you just start to use stuff that's harder to ruin (like PUL or something)? Now that it's warm enough for water play, he wears a LL shell in our yard, but wool for the park or playdates. I do use PUL and I do go coverless as well, but not because he's more active, more for variety
If you use a lot of wool, does that mean you don't use any onesies? What do you pair with the wool pants, just a t-shirt? I only have one onsie and he wears it with his PUL pockets or over a PUL cover. He has a lot of tees and I had several collared shirts made for him as well. He does have a couple of rompers that fit over his wool.

When my kids wear wool, thats all they wear. No shorts, pants or other items. They are 18mth twins and wear them to baseball games, the park, grandmas, out to dinner.
Do you change them every time you change baby? If not, how often? NO, If its lanolized well, with a great product, its not needed.

We have knitted wool thats our pretty wool. No outside playing or baseball in those. Normaly Em wears hers under a sundress and Jack with a matching shirt I embroidered on in colors to match the soakers. Then they have knitted/crocheted/felted wool covers that are to take the beating. They can wear those anywhere. It all holds up in the long run. A good fabric shaver keeps even our playwool looking like our pretty wool.

Em wears sundresses or cute suntops with her wool. I have been known to dye a white shirt to match her wool. I prefer them to have outfits with the wool, but no 18month old keeps a shirt clean all day. :) Jack wears his with other matching shirts. A pair of Amazonas HPY knitted soaker which is all greens with a bright orange polo type shirt. We have made wool our complete summer wardrobe and will do for the winter as well. Keeps it easy to keep up with.
We do have some very nice outfits that we use aios under. I also have trimmer wool covers from Fussybutt and LilWitchybrithces that have embroidery on that we can use under thier good going out clothes.

How do you keep the wool from getting ruined when they start moving around and getting into stuff? Do you just start to use stuff that's harder to ruin (like PUL or something)? we use wool 100% of the time, and we have play in the dirt get messy wool, and wool that she only ears to bed..(it's white angora) but we use all our wool at one time or another....

If you use a lot of wool, does that mean you don't use any onesies? What do you pair with the wool pants, just a t-shirt? just t's or litlle swing tops or dresses, i've never been a big fanof onesies anyways!
