...oh my gosh, mamas, I think I am at a crossroads in my cloth diapering career, and I'm starting down the road to HyenaLand!

I need help and guidence, however, and so I must post my questions, hoping for answers!

Most of my stash is pret-a-porter (ready-to-wear), like ubcpfs, Kissaluvs, fb, Bummis, etc. I have, however, purchased a couple couture covers, custom-sewn by WAHMs without a line to wait in.

I guess I don't know how to 'get in line' at some of these coveted WAHM stores? How can you plan a stash is you're waiting on something? Do you always size up?

I'm just a little confused about things you don't just "add to cart" when shopping.

I have a few pg gals in my circle and since I know I have a long time 'til baby rrives, and since I know I can just choose the nb size, I am contemplating this waiting way of doing dipes.

Any thoughts or guidance are appriciated!

The best advice that I got was to sign up on your fav. wahm's mailing list (most through Yahoo). I've yet to "be in line" but I've managed to get my hands on some pretty dipes & covers (FMBG, RB, SOS, Sugarpeas) thanks to the wahm posting when she'll be stocking.

You really need to be on their mailing lists so you can keep up w/ their stockings and such. Most of us are probably on 20+ Yahoo groups.

Also, try the Trading Post, auctions and other sites where you can buy and sell dipes. There has never been a dipe I wanted to try that I couldn't find used.

I find the ones I want to try, and then look on ebay, classifieds board on TCOYF, parentsplace.com fleamarket, etc. and have been buying a few of each of the ones I want to check out. Ds is borderline in a lot of the sizes, so I've been buying ones that should fit him soon. Will have to check out the WAHM mailing lists myself...
