Ds has a nasty cold sore looking rash on his mouth. It's going from his lips to his cheek and it's about 2 inches long. It's "bubbly" like a cold sore and it's been there about 5 days. I've been using some cream on it, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I was thinking of picking up some Abreva, which I've used before, but I'm not sure if it could be something other than just a cold sore?? Any ideas, should I take him into the dr? Is there something else that looks like a cold sore but is more serious?
He's not been sick, but dh has had an awful cold. I'm not a freak out type person, ds never goes to the dr....but this hurts and looks horrible.
