I've let my other mommy friends know and the only concern I have is that I will be the only mom nursing a 3 year old. See, I dont know if I will be able to get him to nurse on command! Ours will be held at the state capital lawn! He is gonna wanna run around, I know it's a little silly, but I am sort of worried about it! I can just see myself having this discussion with him about why we are here and how he's going to have start eating now like all the other babies, blah, blah, lol!! I half expect a scene and him whining about it! Well, I am not going to force the poor kid! Oh the fun!! But it's for a great cause so we will be there!

I just wanted to say that I was so happy to participate in Hawai'i's first ever breast feeding challenge, as part of the Quintessensce Inter. BF Challenge. My almost 3 year old. yelled "latch on!" when the MC coundted down, 3..2..1. And although he only nursed for about 3 seconds (he wanted his ice cream I took away) we were pround to be counted.
There werent as many moms there as I would have liked to see, but I know alot of BF mom's who couldnt make it.
But it was nice to meet so many smiling and happy mom's and babies. And snaps to all the dads who showed!!

Oh lotusbirth! I was going to come with my 3 y/o DD but we both woke up with colds and sore throats. I don't like to share, so we stood at home.

I wondered why I didn't see you there, K!

Hawaii's Breastfeeding Challenge went very well. Andrew and I had a very good time. Every time I turned around I ran into someone I knew. I sat with a woman nursing twins (she was on Channel 4 news) and she had them both latched at the same time. It was awesome. (SHE was awesome!)

oooooh, I wished I could have gone around with a sign on my head, "Where are the Mothering moms?" Or at least with my username!
Frank Delima had the nerve to ask me when will my son stop BF'ding? DUh!! I just laughed it off, and said, 'maybe when he starts school.'
Kama, PM me regarding the next LLL meeting where you are. K?
