they look likethey are ready to be picked ot me. they are starting to come up out of the ground and are a beautiful redish color. do they have to ripen in the ground oranything? i know nothinhg about radishes..i grew these for DH. i only planted them at the begining of march so man they grow fast!! everything else i planted then is still just sprouts. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/bigeyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bigeyes">

Do you have the package still? Some radishes are done in 35 days or so. SOunds like they could be ready. Pull one out and see!

i pulled one and it loosk ready as far as i can tell <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/headscratch.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="headscratch">:

If it looks ready, it is ready. Radishes can literally be eaten at any stage of development - even as sprouts. The younger/smaller they are picked the milder they will be. If you wait too long they get woody and very very sharp-tasting (not in a good way). I'm sure yours are done! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

yep tasted one, they are done!! how do i store them and how long will they last out of the garden? thanks so much!
