I'm certainly no expert, because I'm terrible at figuring out my cervical position (what's the difference between high and medium??)! But, I think I remember reading in TCOYF that if you've already had a vaginal birth, the cervix may always feel a tiny bit open...don't know if that helps!

I would say it would be low until your uterus gets up and out of your pelvis and starts tipping forward out of your abdomen. Maybe another month or so? Eventually near the end, I can't even reach my cervix because it goes high up behind my baby's head. HTH.

I am now 8w5d and it is still fairly low and slightly open. Its not open to where I could fit a finger tip in but its definitely not closed. With my last pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage at about 8 weeks my cervix was high and tightly closed the one time I checked it at around 6 weeks. So I guess what I am asking is it normal for my cervix to still not be totally closed and high up? Any thoughts will help. TIA |
