I have a 7 week old baby and I've been attemtping to CD him since birth but every time he's in cloth he has a red raw looking rash on his bottom. If I switch him to sposies it clears up in a day. I'm rather frustrated about this. What should I do? A barrier cream/ointment? A different detergent? I use 7th Generation but the dipes have been washed in All Free Clear. Both worked fine on my DD who's now 2. I tried stripping them nd didn't see any bubbles but we have hard water, I don't know if that makes a difference. I also use baking soda in the first wash and tea tree oil in the second. Could those be a problem?

I've been CDing for 2 years so I feel silly having to ask this, but I honestly am stumped as to what to do, and I really hate using sposies, not to mention I just simply can't afford them.

TIA!
