Last night I started breaking out in a rash - on my belly, arms, legs and trunk - I know the 3rd trimester (last month especially) is a prime time for PUPPS to develop but I have never had it nor have I known anyone that has had it - The rash looks like almost like ant bites (smallish to medium sized, red, bump at peak, etc) - they itch like crazy!

Help! Does anyone have experience with this? Should I call the midwife today or wait till my appt this week (Wed)

I am on the home stretch (5 weeks to go to my EDD as of tomorrow) but is isn't going to go quietly/easily I guess (baby flipped around a TON on Fri-Sat and now feels like he is breech or transverse (hiccups at top of belly vs low like they have been for weeks and weeks))

I hope someone can answer this, I think I may have them too. I woke up Saturday with one spot, and by last night, had a handful. They do seem to feel bug bite ish, but were under clothes, all the exposed easily biteable skin wasn't effected at all. But it itches like mad lol

I'm not personally familiar with PUPPS, but I say if you have a question, call your MW!

Call your midwife. PUPPPs is one thing, it's pretty common, but Cholestasis is another.

You guys should check your families out for spots too. I know we tend to assume that everything that happens to us is pregnancy related, but it might something else.

I called the midwife earlier today and got an appt for noon tomorrow (I already had an appt scheduled for Wed but they were able to move it up a day)

no one else in my family has a rash or anything weird going on, that was one of the first things I started checking for both yesterday and this morning - good suggestion/idea though!

Thanks!!

I would ask about puppp. I had it with my 1st and it started on the belly, then moved to my arms, trunk and legs where it was the worst. It looked the way you describe it too. There was another post about puppp yesterday and I mentioned that my midwife told me about a homeopathic medicine called rus-tox. I aslo tried dandelion root, oatmeal baths and a few other things I can't even remember, but the after I started the rus-tox the rash actually cleared up, so if it turns out that it is puppp I highly recommend asking about it. I was so grateful that she told me about it because I had done a lot of research about natural remedies and no one else seemed to have heard of it. The other thing that helps if you have the luxury of sitting down for a while is keeping ice packs on it. Hope you feel better!
