I've recently reverted to a mostly vegetarian diet (I was fully veg when I was a teenager, then included meat for a number of years), but have been hearing about people eating just raw foods... do any of you mamas here do it? If so, what do you find beneficial about this type of diet? Is it difficult to follow (especially in the winter months - I'm in Canada)? Any recommended reads or recipe books?

I'm curious to know more about this... thanks!

Learning more about the raw diet is one of the top things on my list. I believe that raw is definitely the best way to eat your food. Giving your body total living nutrients is essential for prestine health. My family eats pretty much all of our veggies raw. I really wanna learn more about making things totally raw as well. There are some really good websites that I've found so far. http://www.rawfood.com and http://www.thegardendiet.com

I'm trying to work towards going vegan as well. It's been a struggle.
