Does anyone have a good source for raw, local honey in the Baltimore County area? I'm interested in trying it to see if it helps my hay fever this year.
If you look at the Really Raw Honey website, it's not clear if their honey is actually locally sourced. (I buy their honey, so I've looked into it. They support small family farms but not necessarily local, AFAIK)
The following site lists MD producers. Nothing listed for Baltimore County but there is one in Harford County:
I get mine from Rosemont Valley Organic Apiary in Balt Highlands. Phone number is 410-636-4191. Take the kids when you go. The beekeeper will take at least an hour to sell you your honey because he will want to show you the bees, all his equipment and give you samples to eat. He's awesome!
My Organic Market in College park is carrying a raw honey from a beekeeper in Thurmont MD. Not Baltimore County, but not that far away. Might be worth a try.

I was so thrilled to meet this beekeeper at the South Mountain Creamery Family Farm day...he is so very nice, and spent a lot of time talking to my bug loving 5yo DS. I've used the honey for 4yrs now, and love it. It was so nice to finally meet the person behind it! BTW, he mentioned that Jubilee in Emmitsburg has the best prices, but the MOM in Frederick is probably closer to most.
