Does drinking Raw Milk contribute to strengthening your immune system?

I was nursing my DS until he was 5 months old. I had to wean him due to medical reasons and it was a sad sad day for me and him. Now that I think back, maybe there was a way to continue, I just didn't know it back then.

When I switched him to formula, I immediately put him on probiotics. Natren Life Start was in his formula every day.
When he turned 1, I found a source of raw goat's milk and he has been drinking it for the past 10 months once-twice a day.

I think I had been tremendously blessed. Considering that he only got 5 months of liquid gold, he had only had 1 cold and 1 virus. He is 22 months old.

I am the type of person who is very analytical. I try to canculate every decision I make and tend to blame myself for things that I think I did wrong when it comes to my child.
I wonder if introducing my son to raw milk was one of my best decisions when it comes to his nutrition. I also want to encourage other friends moms to consider it, those moms who never nursed their children.

So do you think it was just pure luck, or raw milk had anything to do with it?

FYI: he is not in the day care.

So much of our immunity is in our gut, dependent on a healthy flora balance, and I believe that raw milk (fresh or cultured) can be valuable to maintaining the good flora. So yeah, it's possible the raw milk has helped keep him healthy.

Download the powerpoint presentation from www.realmilk.com. It gives you a break down of all the immune boosting components found in raw milk. There are alot of them! Raw milk absolutely helps the immune system. Before we started on it, we were sick at least once a month, if not more. DS is in daycare but now he's only had 1 cold and 1 stomach bug in 7-8 months. The stomach virus only lasted an hour compared to the 24 hrs that his classmates experienced. My husband and I haven't been sick at all since starting raw milk. It has been such a blessing.
