<p>I made this tonight for dinner.  I adapted it a little from's original recipe.  It was sooo good!  :)</p>

<p>1 large onion, diced<br>
1 large clove garlic, crushed<br>
1 tbsp olive oil<br><span class="text_exposed_hide">...</span><span class="text_exposed_show">Sautee until fragrant<br><br>
2 large diced carrots<br>
3 cups chicken or vegetable broth/stock plus 1 cup water<br>
1/2 cup shredded pre-cooked chicken (optional)<br>
1 cup red lentils<br>
1 15-oz can plain tomato sauce<br>
A few dashes crushed red pepper flakes</span></p>
<p><span class="text_exposed_show">A bunch of salt, garlic powder, turmeric, and cumin<br>
About 2 tbsp chili powder<br><br>
Simmer for about 45 minutes or until carrots and lentils are soft. Serve over tortilla chips and sprinkle with grated cheese. </span></p>
