Does anyone know about this program?
http://www.readtofeed.org/

It seems like a fundraiser type of thing where your DC reads books to raise money for less fortunate children around the world. Im not one for those read and reward programs, like book-it, but this seems interesting.
How does it work? Is it legit?
Just curious.

Yes, it is done through Heifer International and it is a legitimate charity. We donate to them often.

My understanding of the Read to Feed program is similar to raising money for charity walks or something like that. Gather people to sponsor X number of dollars or cents per book, page or chapter read. You can really set it up anyway you like. I also think you can specify which animal the money goes towards.
