(sorry for typos, NAK, as usual, lol)

They are starting this show on PBS called Real moms Real Stories

You can look at it on www.realsavvy.tv

Well they do have some info about BFing, but not much.

And to top it off it is sposored by Formula companies, so they get to put this huge ad for NESTLE evil of all evils on PBS!!!!:

I can't stand it, i'm losing my mind, nothing is sacred anymore, not even PBS.

Ya know they FINALLY get a moms show on PBS, but then of course it has to be this junk.... I really think they needed something more scientifically based. You know if they can show surgeries on Discovery, they can show a BOOB on PBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is something I've been asking PBS for for centuries.

A show for moms, and they needed to do an informational showing a real mom breastfeeding with tips and info. Even just 20 min of BFing info 1x per week.

Info that needs to be repeated over and over until moms can use their boobs for what they were intended for without a huge fight. Women who were preggo could watch this stuff and not have to read or hear contrasting info, but hear the REAL FACTS. Moms who are stuck at home on the couch nursing hr after hr wondering if this is normal, or who's baby is not latching on well and slowly taking more and more bottles could see thing s they could do to make it easier and learn that it does get easier w/ support and the CORRECT INFO!

Many moms or moms to be, do not read very much. They need to talk about it w/ someone who knows or hear it said to them by someone else who knows. Unfortunatly most only get info by unknowing Dr's or nurses AFTER the birth, and don't even know how important it is to go to a Lalecheleague.org meeting or go see another baby nursing BEFORE baby is born.

SO getting the REAL info on PBS would be PERFECT!

Some moms really need to rally together and email PBS like crazy telling them we will boycott PBS until they get that crud off of there and just have some real info for BFing.

Or something!!!

something simple, something real, something other than NESTLE sponsored!

Even if they just did a group taping w/ sharing stories, no script with some BFing moms.

It'd be sooo much better than that prettied up junk they are touting. They have these 3 moms who look like they just walked out of the mall. They do NOT look like any real moms I know! LOL! And if anything they'd make real moms feel bad cuz they don't look like that again yet!

Argh!

Here's an email I sent:

I´ve noticed that this "Moms" show is sponsored by an artificial infant milk company, Nestle. Nestle is guitly of very unethical advertising practices in the US and worldwide in regards to its artificial infant milk (formula.) Please, KPTS, help the lactivist´s boycott and do not air this show. Thank you. http://www.babymilkaction.org/pages/boycott.html
