I'm 29 wks with my 3rd child, I want to order some tea from compleat mother as I've read several people who love it. But it says a winters supply? I've no idea how much that is, how long will it last, lol . Really a whole winter? Anyone order it before? thanks in advance

Well, I haven't ordered it from Compleat Mother before, but I was planning on it. I usually buy it from the nearby HFS, but I am sure it is probably more expensive that way. I love it so much, I know I would drink more if I had more on hand.

Okay, so this was no help at all. :LOL I guess it really depends on how much you drink, and if anyone else in your house will be drinking it too.

Another good place to get it is blessed herbs. I think they sell 1/2 lbs, which would probably get you through the end of your pregnancy.

If you want to buy more, you can drink it postpartum as well.

I ordered some a few weeks ago. It's 4 quart size zip lock bags. Why not e-mail them Greg to make sure: [email protected]

It's so yummy.

And I used a lot of it just to seep a tea pot a last week (hope I'm doing it right.) I hope it lasts me till the end... if not I'll just order more.

A winter supply should be plenty. It's really yummy--much better than any health food store brand or co-op 'round here!

Best wishes,

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but can anyone tell me why pregnant women shoudl drink red raspberry leaf tea? What does it do? When should you start drinking it?

It is just a nice pregnancy compatible herb tea. Red raspberry leaves have a tonic effect on the uterus and many feel that it helps the uterus to be strengthened for labor. Maybe, maybe not. I have been in Midwifery for almost 8 years and see absolutely no consistant value of drinking herbals for labor prep- but it is also rich in vitamins and tea is a very soothing drink, especially warm, for the irritable GI track of the last trimester
