I'm 29 wks with my 3rd child, I want to order some tea from compleat mother as I've read several people who love it. But it says a winters supply? I've no idea how much that is, how long will it last, lol . Really a whole winter? Anyone order it before? thanks in advance

Well, I haven't ordered it from Compleat Mother before, but I was planning on it. I usually buy it from the nearby HFS, but I am sure it is probably more expensive that way. I love it so much, I know I would drink more if I had more on hand. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><br><br>

Another good place to get it is blessed herbs. I think they sell 1/2 lbs, which would probably get you through the end of your pregnancy.<br><br>
If you want to buy more, you can drink it postpartum as well.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but can anyone tell me why pregnant women shoudl drink red raspberry leaf tea? What does it do? When should you start drinking it?

It is just a nice pregnancy compatible herb tea. Red raspberry leaves have a tonic effect on the uterus and many feel that it helps the uterus to be strengthened for labor. Maybe, maybe not. I have been in Midwifery for almost 8 years and see absolutely no consistant value of drinking herbals for labor prep- but it is also rich in vitamins and tea is a very soothing drink, especially warm, for the irritable GI track of the last trimester<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hippie.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hippie">
