Is a red rectum the sign of a food allergy or intolerance?

Are you asking if the red could be either or did you want to know which the red means? There is a bulls eye on the rectum that usually means an allergy or intolerance of some sort in children. However if meant does it mean an allergy or intolerance that is more up for debate and hard to define. Treatment for allergy and intolerance with food is usually the same, just avoid the food. With children attempting to define an allergy rather then an intolerance can be more of a pain than it's really worth.
Thanks

I didn't make my question clear, you're right. I meant does it usually mean an intolerance or does it usually mean an allergy.

I'm thinking we're dealing with an intolerance.
