My son has, thus far, been a champion nurser. He is 6 months and still nurses every 2-4 hours, including during the night. However, I've noticed that he is starting to nurse a little less often and I wondered how does it work when your child's nursing patterns change. LIke, if he stopped nursing all together at night, how does that affect my supply? Do I have to pump during the night to relieve fullness if he is still nursing frequently during the day? I'm just confused as to how your body regulates all of this when there are long breaks with no nursing and then periods of nursing at regular intervals.
