Any resources on how to find a good home for my two dogs? Because of my daughter's medical condition we need to move ASAP, and we will have to move to an apartment (for $$ reasons)that does not allow pets. These are great dogs, total family/child friendly. I refuse to give them up to the pound, because they are approx. 6 and 11 years old and i know the likelihood is that they will be euthanized.
Does anyone know of any rescue organizations in the north florida/georgia area? I am willing to drive.

Please no flames. I know that i am a terrible person for rehoming my dogs. Don't worry, i won't be getting any more pets for a long, long time.

no, they are very mixed. the don't really resemble a specific breed at all. we have no idea of their parentage.

Atlanta Pet Rescue may be able to assist you in finding a no-kill organization near you. Good luck with everything!
http://www.atlantapetrescue.org/www_ver2/index.htm

Sometimes the most selfLESS thing you can do for your pets is find them a new home. I've had to do it, and I know how painful it can be when its not something you want to do. Check out petfinder.org, look in your area, you may find info for local rescues etc that deal with mixed breeds, or aged dogs! Good luck!

How big are they? Do they need to go together? How are they with cats?
