My husband is thinking of applying for a job in Myrtle Beach. Is this a good place to raise a family? What about schools, hospitals (my daughter has special needs), crime rate?

EEEEEWWWWW just read some disturbing information about the crime rate. Yuck.

I live fairly close - the area is pretty much known just as a tourist area, north myrtle is a little better, but myrtle beach itself is known for bike week, senior week, spring break, etc. - probably not the best for raising children, maybe better a little more out of town

Well in our hearts we want to move back to Colorado. There are several jobs my husband is going to apply for there today.

This job in MB is for a lot of money. Thats what caught our eye about it.
