I would have thought the same, that the fact she is still nursing is good. You'd think GI doctors would comprehend that! It's probably just they've never seen an almost 18 mo baby still nursing - I mean how often would they come across one? Sorry you are the one to educate them.

My 8 mo dd is teething now and she's really stepped up her nursing too. Cause she's getting older, the bottle feeding ILs expect that she'll be nursing less. But she's nursing more cause of the teething. She gets upset and irritable easily and wants to nurse. Some people just don't understand the comfort babies get from BF. I find it really weird that they don't see it as a good thing.

Anyway we all know what a great thing you're doing. And I'm sure your dd does too
