ok i steam cleaned our carpet with vinegar on sunday.
worked great!! but my carpet smells like vinegar..which smells like pee to me. its dry and been a couple days. how can i get rid of the smell by this weekend? tia!

If you're sure it's dry, maybe sprinkle some baking soda on it, let it sit for awhile and then vacuum it up? That should absorb the odor. But make sure it's totally dry -- sometimes it takes 2-3 days to completely dry. And if it's the slightest bit damp, the BS will make a messy paste and you'll be really unhappy....

was i supossed to somehow rinse the vinegar water mixture? i did 1 cup vinegar to 1 gallon water. we all ready returned the steam cleaner so i guess its kinda silly to aks now huh?
